Meeting at the base of Lookout Track just down from the Kevington Pub. The pin for the meeting point is above.
Meeting Friday night or Saturday morning, we will be heading up Lookout Track around 9:30 then making our way up to the top of Mt Skene for lunch and some photos then making our way to the campsite on Barkley River Jeep Track and camping there for the night. Then heading home Sunday. Those that want to head back to Licola and home that way can and those that want to head through Jamieson can head that way back over the top.
What’s needed: Full recovery kit, lots of warm clothes and boots, warm bedding and wet weather gear. Recommended to have pre-made meals as cooking on the fire will be difficult if there’s heavy snow. Snow Chains for those with smaller tyres and all-terrains.
Will be a medium to hard trip depending on snow, if theres a large amount of snow then conditions do get hard but it is a lot of fun, so best be ready for that, other wise it is a great trip.
