The time has come again for the Arbuckle Junction Trip.
Meeting point will be the Cheynes Bridge Campground.
Plan is head up Friday night or for those who can’t make it Friday, Saturday morning. Will aim to leave Cheynes Bridge around 9 am, we’ll head straight up to the junction and head to the high plains and depending on the condtions of the tracks aim to have lunch there.
From the high plains we’ll head to the track to the campsite and have a bit of fun in the ruts at the top and make camp at the high plains there.
Sunday we’ll make our way out and depending what the timing is like we’ll go explore and have a look at some other tracks.
And if there isn’t a lot of snow at the top and we’re making good time we’ll mimic last years trip and head down into Dargo to camp at the Wonnongatta River, but that will only happen if snow conditions are poor.
Whats needed: Full recovery kit, snow chains for smaller and all-terrain tyres, warm clothes and boots, warm bedding and pre-made meals recommended.
